Who We Help

Every kind of senior living move

From a whole house to a one-bedroom apartment, or across the hall to a different level of care. Same crew, same written quote, same care with every piece.

Downsizing

Moving out of the family home into something smaller, with a plan for what comes along and what goes to family or storage.

Assisted Living

Moves into assisted living and memory care apartments, timed to the community's move-in window.

Independent Living

Retirement communities and 55+ apartments across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Moving In With Family

Moving a parent into a family member's home, with the rest of the household to storage if needed.

How We Handle It

A move planned around the person, not the truck

Senior moves take more time and more patience. We plan for both, and we put it in writing before move day.

Packing

Packed with care, labeled for the new floor plan

We pack one room or the whole house, with a 3-hour minimum. Photos, heirlooms, and anything fragile get wrapped by hand, and every box is labeled for the room it is going to, not the room it came from.

  • Professional packing materials brought to the home
  • Extra care for heirlooms, antiques, pianos, and artwork
  • Boxes labeled for the rooms at the new address

Placement & Setup

Set up before the first night

Share the new floor plan and we place furniture where it belongs, reassemble the bed and make it, and hang pictures on request, so the new apartment is ready to live in when we leave.

  • Furniture placed to the new floor plan
  • Beds, tables, and shelving reassembled
  • Unpacking of the rooms that matter most on day one

Storage

Room for the things that don't fit yet

Furniture that won't fit in the new apartment doesn't have to be decided on move day. It can go to our climate-controlled, secured storage, palletized and crated for longer holds, or to a family member's home on the same trip.

5%
off every move for veterans, active duty, police, firefighters, and EMS, senior living moves included.

Working With the Community

We work within the community's rules

Senior living communities run on schedules. Send us their move-in rules and we plan around them, so staff and neighbors are disrupted as little as possible.

  • Move-in windows and elevator reservations booked ahead
  • Certificates of insurance (COIs) sent to the community
  • Floor runners and door protection in shared hallways
  • One coordinator for the family, even if you live out of town

How It Works

Four steps, one crew, one written quote

01

Talk it through

A coordinator walks through the current home, the new floor plan, and the community's rules with you or your family.

02

Written plan

A written quote and a room-by-room plan: what moves, what goes to storage, and what goes to family.

03

Pack & move

Careful packing, blankets and runners, and the same crew from the old doorway to the new one.

04

Settle in

Furniture placed, bed made, pictures hung. Payment on-site after the job, never up front.
